6. Scientology versus Christianity (싸이언톨로지와 기독교 비교)

1. Scientology does not believe in God's creation and reign and God's salvation for fallen mankind. Scientology only attempts a humanistic approach to solve human’s mental and physical diseases or dysfunctions. They lure people in by saying they give them a Free Personality Test (eg, Scientology group in Manhattan, New York). They hide their false identity by using the church name on signboards as if they are a kind of church community (eg, Scientology Church, Manhattan, New York: however, they are not the Church, the body of Jesus Christ). But Scientology does not accept or follow the Bible, God's authoritative and true book for believers. Even worse, Scientology claims that the sinless Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, was crucified and bloodshed for His sins. It is blasphemy against Jesus and the greatest deceit. So, the Scientology group is the Antichrist. Therefore, we oppose the lies and false doctrines of Scientology.

2. All mankind have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The first man, Adam, sinned against God the Creator, and all of us who were born as his descendants inherit Adam's fallen nature (which is called original sin) and become separated from God, and sin without knowing God personally. Because of original sin, no matter how hard we try, we fail to bear perfectly holy and good fruits and sin. The limitations, inability, and suffering that humans experience on this earth are due to human’s original sin and actual sins. When we sin, we face eternal death by the judgment of God. Many people have tried their best to solve the problems of mankind on this earth, but no human actions or methods have been able to solve the problem of their sins, and they have never been able to reach the perfect state required by a holy and righteous God. So, in the end, they couldn't escape hell for their sins. So, we all need a savior. Our Savior Jesus Christ was born in Israel (Luke 2:11). God Himself came to this earth in the form of a man, died for our sins, and rose again. He is Jesus.

3. God calls us to the saving gospel of Jesus Christ, and when we hear the gospel, God regenerates our spirit by the Holy Spirit. So, in order to be able to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ, we must listen to it. Jesus said that unless a person is born again of the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5). When we are born again of the Holy Spirit, we have the image of God and a new conscience, so that we confess our sins and receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord, and as a result, God forgives our sins, justifies us, and makes us His children. God baptizes us who are children of God with the Holy Spirit, so that we can have the power of the Holy Spirit that leads us to do good and live according to His guidance, not our fallen flesh. Then we can bear holy and good fruit. Those who believe in Christ have eternal life in heaven.
